It's a common rule of thumb for dog owners that 1 year for dogs is equivalent to approximately 7 human years. Did you know however that new research shows that young puppies age much faster than young humans do therefore a simple ratio of 1 is to 7 is incorrect.
The speed a dog ages is also dependent on the size/breed of the dog. The American Veterinary Medical Association suggests a 1 year old dog is about 15 years old in human age. This is why it's important to start supplementing their diet early!
